Breed note
Akitas are large, powerful Japanese dogs with a sensitive digestive system requiring high-quality, limited-ingredient, large-breed formulas to prevent gastrointestinal upset and reduce bloat risk. Two meals per day with slow-feeder bowls are strongly recommended. Omega-3 fatty acids support their thick, double coat. Glucosamine and chondroitin are important for joint health, and controlled portions prevent obesity in their relatively moderate-metabolism build.
